Before coming to Drexel University, Daniel received his MA in Communication from Georgia State University with an emphasis in Human Communication and Social Influence. He also received his BA from Georgia State University in Film Studies with a minor in Creative Writing. His chief research interests center around the study of surfaces as ideological constructs and their function as points of contention between hegemonic structures and counter-hegemonic forces. He is also interested in studies of protest and resistance, the confluence between pop culture and protest among global youth, as well as cinema studies and film analysis.
