The Department of Culture & Communication is home to faculty experts who offer a distinctly interdisciplinary perspective. Students in each of our undergraduate and graduate programs take courses toward their degree in a wide range of areas. A communication major interested in mass media and body image might take a sociology course in gender and sexuality; an environmental policy student interested in international political work might take a course in intercultural or international communication.
The department also offers a number of applied courses relevant to students’ current or potential work interests, including courses in grant writing, online software documentation, event planning, and public relations writing, just to name a few.
This range of courses opportunities, combined with research and study abroad options and the hands-on experience of Drexel’s Co-Op program, allow students to truly explore their academic and professional interests prior to graduation
