Experience:
- Recent graduate preferred but 1-3 years of business analysis experience is acceptable
- 4 Year degree in one of the following or equivalent:
- Computer Science
- Mathematics
- Information Systems
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong analytical skills and good organizational skills
- Understanding of Microsoft products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
- Understanding of Microsoft technologies on the middle tier (e.g. Java)
- Understanding of COBOL and DB2
- Familiarity with financial services industry
- Some knowledge of basic user interface design
- Knowledge of financial planning, asset allocation, portfolio performance concepts is a plus
Person will work under the direction of a team leader or project manager to learn the following:
- Gather and document functional requirements
- Work with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure
- Ability to work with the business client through meetings and interviews to elicit and document all system requirements in a Business Requirement Specification/Software Requirement Specification
- Project management
- Gain understanding of the development project life cycle
- Management of a project end-to-end
- Budget management Work with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs.
