Hack the Change 2013

September 27, 2013 — Penn Society for International Development (PennSID) would like to extend to you an invitation to our annual social impact and international development hack-a-thon, Hack the Change 2013. Hack the Change brings together programmers and social impact enthusiasts from across the world with global NGOs and social enterprises that work in sectors of international development and social impact. Within 28 hours the participants create and present mobile and computer applications that address everything from mobile health and governance to education and micro-economy issues. Hack the Change 2013 will take place September 27-28, 2013 at the University of Pennsylvania campus.

Thanks to partnerships this year with key non-profits and companies--Ministry of Health in Botswana, mHealth Working Group, Google, Twilio, Endless Mobile, and more!--we are sure to see the actual implementation of your applications. With cash prizes for the best apps, free food, and swag all throughout the event we are positive you will not want to miss out on this opportunity. Remember, this event is for anyone interested in the intersection of development, social impact, and technology. Even if you don't have tech skills your interest makes a huge contribution!

If distance to Penn's campus is your concern, please don't worry. Megabus is helping sponsor the cost of participants' travel to the event. Please respond quickly if you will need assistance, though, as we have limited spaces.
