Undergraduate Advisors

As freshmen and sophomores, College of Engineering students receive academic advising from the Office of Student Services Room 155, University Crossings. Typically by their sophomore year, students have selected a major within one of the college's six departments. After completing their sophomore year, students are then advised by their departmental advisor.

The primary job of departmental advisors, many of whom are also professors, is to ensure each student's timely graduation. They also, however, lend an ear to class-related and personal problems. It's a good idea to see your advisor early and often; not only to plan your course of study, but also to make a friend in your field.
