Expectations / Cost

There is a $300 housing fee for the Summer Mentorship program. Students and their families are also responsible for transportation costs, spending money, and health care costs. Lab fees and program activities are covered by the Summer Mentorship program.

Room, board, lab fees, and program activities are covered by the Summer Mentorship program.

Students are expected to work on their research project eight hours each day, Monday-Friday. "Work" is not limited to performing research but can also include attending seminars and reading from the literature. Each mentor will have his or her own interpretation of this stipulation.

While participating in Summer Mentorship, students may not leave for other activities, such as summer camps or athletic training, unless these commitments are of a religious nature.
