What is Drexel Co-op?
By now, you've heard about Drexel's nationally renowned experiential education
program. We call it Drexel Co-op: The Ultimate Internship. But what is it
exactly, and, more importantly, how does it work?
Drexel Co-op Defined
Drexel Co-op: ?The Ultimate Internship? is a great way to learn about your
career choice by getting out into the workplace and trying out different
professional options so you can discover the one that's right for you.
How It Works
Beginning in your second year, you will alternate periods of classroom study
with periods of full-time professional employment. Your Drexel Co-op
experiences (you may engage in up to three) last three or six months,
depending on your major. By the time you graduate, you may have up to 18
months of professional experience to add to your resume.
Landing the Right Drexel Co-op for You
As a freshman, you will enroll in a class called University Seminar, The
Drexel Experience. In that class, you will explore career options, as well as
discover the ins and outs of resume writing, the job search, using the
Internet, the job interview, and current workplace issues.
