Prospective: Undergraduate: Learning Community Join the Engineering Learning Community The mission of the College of Engineering Learning Community (ELC) program is to create a dynamic and collaborative living and learning environment for motivated freshman resident students who are accepted into the program. By housing its students on the same floor, grouping its students in classes, directly connecting them with faculty and staff, and organizing special events throughout the freshman year, the ELC actively promotes academic success and fosters a sense of community among its students.
The Engineering Learning Community (ELC) will consist of residential students, who will come together for classes and events throughout their entire freshman year. ELC students are required to live in Myers Hall. The community is a great opportunity for you to begin your college experience at Drexel, but space is limited. Acceptance into this program is based upon your academic interests and your response to the questions on this application. If you would like to be considered for the Engineering Learning Community please click here to fill out the on-line application. The deadline for applying is June 13, 2008 (to ensure housing). Please note that students who have a roommate preference (unless the roommate is also applying to ELC) and students who are part of the Honors program (which has its own Learning Community) should not be applying to the ELC. If you have any questions please contact the Engineering Student Services Office at 215-895-2211 or email COESS@drexel.edu. |
