Two teams including College of Engineering students were declared finalists
in Phase II of the LeBow College of Business and the Laurence A. Baiada
Center for Entrepreneurship in Technology’s 2004 Business Plan Competition.
There were six finalist teams overall in this round of the competition.
The two teams made up of College of Engineering students were:
Helping Hand Improvements: James Maloney (engineering
management); Phillip Patterson (engineering management)
PiRho Software: Joshua Carney (biomedical); Christopher
Sherman (CS); Olga Shikman (CoAS); Steven Thomas (CS); Kathy Charles (CS);
Dan Donahue (CS)
Each winning team will receive a $1,000 prize and will be given the opportunity
to present their plans orally to a panel of judges at the 2004 Entrepreneur
Conference on May 19. First, second and third place winners in the final
phase will be selected at the conference to receive prizes totaling over
$30,000.
