Alumni Carl Bannar Visits Drexel


Carl Bannar ' 84, '92 (CS), Vice President of Program Operations for Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems, headquartered in Moorestown, NJ, visited Drexel's campus today for an official check ceremony. Under Bannar's guidance, Lockheed Martin has given generously to support many different programs at Drexel's College of Engineering . This year alone Lockheed Martin funded $45,000 in programs and scholarships including the College's innovative SuperNOVA or accelerated B.S./Ph.D. program, Women in Engineering and ECE Scholarships.

To thank Bannar for his continued support of the College of Engineering , Dean Selcuk Guceri took Bannar out to lunch on Friday along with Dr. Adam Fontecchio (ECE), Dr. Bradley Layton (MEM) and Jennifer Wright, the director of Women in Engineering. Lockheed Martin is interested in continuing its support of many of Drexel's programs, and wishes to focus more in the future on women and other underrepresented minorities in engineering and the SuperNOVA program.
