Three Drexel Engineering Students Receive NSF Fellowships for Graduate Studies

Six Additional Engineering Students Receive Honorable Mentions

Three College of Engineering students have received prestigious 2004 NSF Graduate Research Fellowships, which provide three years of support for advanced study to outstanding seniors and first-year graduate students. Each fellowship provides $121,500, which includes a yearly stipend of $30,000 and an allowance for tuition.

This year’s recipients are:
Ph.D. student Michael Foster ‘07 (MEM), microgravity cool flame combustion, advisor Dr. Howard Pearlman
Ph.D. student Maria Pia Rossi ’06 (MSE), namomaterials, advisor Dr. Yury Gogotsi
M.S. student Yelena Kushleyeva ’05 (CS), cognitive modeling, advisor Dr. Dario Salvucci.

The following six students also received honorable mentions from NSF:
