FAA-Drexel Fellowship
This program provides fellowships to Ph.D. students interested in study the structural integrity of transport airplanes.
Fellows will receive attractive stipend, full tuition remission, and an allowance for professional travel. For more information please contact Dr.

Research & Teaching Assistantships:
Assistantships in Research & Teaching are provided to qualified students
and typically range from $1400 to $2500 per month in stipend and include full
tuition waivers. Interested students are encouraged to contact their departmental Graduate Advisors.
Arkema Fellowships in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering:
Arkema (formerly known as ATOFINA Chemicals), is one of the largest producers
of chemicals in the world with annual sales of about $6 billion. This fellowship
is restricted to U.S. citizens pursuing graduate study in the Department of
Materials Science and Engineering. In addition, Arkema periodically has openings
for internships, including a three month summer internship for a Ph.D. student
in a topic of mutual interest. Students should contact Holly Burnside at (215)

Frederic O. Hess Fellowships:
Applications are being sought by the Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics
Department of Drexel University for endowed Graduate Frederic O. Hess Fellowships.
Preference will be given to applicants interested in some aspect of combustion.
Recipients of these fellowships must have graduated from a recognized U.S.
university and will be expected to devote their first academic year at Drexel
to study, while the remainder of their fellowship tenure will be split between
research and coursework. Recipients must be Ph.D. degree seeking.
Financial support provided by these fellowships currently consists of a 12
month stipend of $18,000 paid at the rate of $1500/month and includes full

George Hill, Jr. Fellowship:
The George Hill, Jr. Endowed Fellowship, established in 1991, is awarded
to qualified Ph.D. candidates in the College of Engineering. Recipients
will have proven excellence in their undergraduate and graduate careers and
be able to demonstrate their potential to achieve academic excellence at the
Ph.D. level. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in
academia. Interested students are encouraged to contact Dr. Anthony Lowman.
Steven Giegerich Scholarship:
Established by the Giegerich family and friends to honor Steven Giegerich, a
Drexel student who died in 1984, this renewable scholarship is awarded annually
to a graduate student in civil engineering who exemplifies kindness, humility,
generosity, and a love for work. Preference is given to a resident of Pennsylvania
or a student who received his or her undergraduate degree from Wentworth Institute
in Boston. Selection is also based on financial need and a willingness by the
recipient to make charitable contributions to the scholarship fund once employed
full time and in sound financial condition. Selection is made by the dean of

Mollye and Mitchell Glick Scholarship:
This scholarship was established in 1971 through a bequest from the estate
of Mrs. Mollye Glick. It is awarded annually to graduate students in the College
of Engineering and/or the Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and
Sciences and is based upon the quality of an individual's work. Selection is
made alternately by the dean of the College of Engineering and the head of the
Department of Chemistry. Interested students are encouraged to contact Dr. Anthony Lowman.
Koerner Family Fellowship for Doctoral Studies:
Meet the Koerner Family
Fellows
This fellowship was established through the generosity of Professor Robert Koerner
(Class of 1956 and 1963) and his family. Over the years, Koerner family
members have accumulated four bachelor degrees, two master degrees, and a Ph.D.
degree from Drexel; collectively they have been employed and educated at Drexel
for 88 years! The College of Engineering is seeking 5 outstanding individuals
(one fellowship for each department) to pursue doctoral studies in all areas
of engineering. The fellowships specify that award recipients must be
studying towards a Ph.D. in engineering and should have a high likelihood of
seeking an academic career upon graduation. Fellowships carry a stipend

Joseph S. Mozino Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship was established through the generosity of Dr. Joseph
S. Mozino, Class of 1925, for the recognition of outstanding scholarly and
professional achievement on the part of a graduate student in the College
of Engineering. It is an annual renewable scholarship, awarded to citizens
of Italy, based upon academic achievement and financial need. Preference
is given to students who possess an undergraduate degree in engineering.
Selection is made by the dean of the College of Engineering and the
Graduate Admissions Office. Interested students are encouraged to

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarship:
This 2005 Graduate Scholarship Program will award graduate scholarships to help
students with exceptional promise and demonstrated financial need reach their
full potential through education. This scholarship will fund a portion of educational
costs including tuition, fees, and living expenses for the length of a Jack
Kent Cooke Scholars graduate degree up to six years. Drexel University may nominate
up to two students or recent graduates. Interested students are encouraged to
