After an extremely successful year for the Pioneer Internships program and the Malagasy organisation in general, we are once again offering a number of internships to US students.
As before, the Pioneer Internship will offer selected applicants the opportunity to participate in humanitarian and conservation work while having the chance to see how a grassroots development NGO operates. We feel that our internship would be an especially beneficial vocational experience to students from the Women's Studies department. It will particularly suit those who have a specific interest in working in the international sustainable development sector and for those who wish to help one of the most impoverished peoples and biodiverse environments of the world.
For more details about the internship please visit http://www.madagascar.co.uk/pages/g_i_intership.html
For those who may prefer a more specialised conservation focus, we have a second volunteering scheme focused on the primate population of the south east of the island. The programme is called Lemur Venture and you’ll find more details on this on our website: www.madagascar.co.uk.
Please see http://www.madagascar.co.uk/pdfs/Azfady_nwl_january_2007.pdf for the most recent Azafady newsletter.
We encourage all interested students to continually check our website for internship and other employment opportunities.
