Evan Forman, Ph.D.
Evan Forman, Ph.D., is the Director of the Behavioral Weight Loss Program and an Associate Professor of Psychology. He is also the director of Drexel's Ph.D. program in clinical psychology, and past-president of the Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association. He received his B.A. from Cornell University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 1999. He is a clinical psychologist specializing in the development and evaluation of cognitive-behavior-therapy-based interventions for health- and anxiety-related disorders. Dr. Forman is the recent recipient of an Deveruex Exceptional Potential award for his work with food cravings and a National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disorders (NIDDK) grant to fund a trial comparing two approaches to weight control.

Meghan Butryn, Ph.D.
Meghan Butryn, Ph.D., is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Drexel University. She received her B.S. from Cornell University and her Ph.D. from Drexel University, and completed her clinical internship at Brown University. She is a clinical psychologist who conducts research on behavioral treatments for obesity, with special interests in weight gain prevention and acceptance-based treatments. Dr. Butryn also conducts research on the development and prevention of eating disorders.

Michael Lowe, Ph.D.
Michael Lowe, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Drexel University and a Research Associate at the Renfrew Center for eating disorders. His research focuses on eating and weight regulation among dieters, obese individuals, and those with eating disorders. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Weight Watchers International, and is a past Chair of the Obesity and Eating Disorders Special Interest Group of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy. He is also the Associate Editor of the Journal of Abnormal Psychology.

James Herbert, Ph.D.
James Herbert, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology. He is the Director of Clinical Training at Drexel University, and the Director of the Anxiety Treatment and Research Program at Drexel. He received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is a clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive-behavior therapy, mood and anxiety disorders, and the distinction between science and pseudoscience in psychology and related fields.

Vicki Clark, Ph.D.
Vicki Clark, Ph.D., is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Psychology at Drexel University. She received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and completed her clinical internship at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Her research interests involve identifying factors associated with the development and maintenance of body image disturbance, disordered eating, and comorbid conditions as well as improving treatment and prevention programs for eating disorders and obesity.

Adrienne Juarascio is a doctoral student in Drexel's clinical psychology program. Her research interests involve the use of acceptance based treatments for eating disorders. Shawn Katterman is doctoral student in Drexel's clinical psychology program. She is interested in obesity prevention and correlates of eating when not physically hungry (i.e. hedonic hunger). |

Nicole Ryan is a student in the Accelerated BS/MS Psychology Program at Drexel University. She is also working towards a minor in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. Nicole is interested in eating disorders and obesity research and individuals with serious mental illness. |

Jena Shaw is a first-year doctoral student in Drexel's clinical psychology program. Previously Jena worked as a research coordinator in both the Forman-Herbert Lab and the Lowe Lab at Drexel University as her research interests involve the use of acceptance based treatments to promote health behavior change, particularly weight loss and eating disorder treatment.

Ami Belmont
Ami Belmont is the research coordinator for the Mind Your Health study, as well as the research coordinator for both the Forman-Herbert lab and the Lowe Lab. She graduated in 2009 from Swarthmore College with a degree in Psychology. She has a diverse range of clinical interests in psychology including health psychology, obesity prevention, and behavioral neuroscience. |
