Are you or is someone you know overweight, and looking to lose weight? 

 

The Behavioral Weight Loss Program at Drexel University will soon be enrolling participants in Mind Your Heath, a research study funded by the National Institutes of Health.  The study evaluates two types of non-medication weight control programs designed to help you lose weight and keep it off long-term. Programs are offered free of charge, and compensation is provided for completing study questionnaires.

Coping Strategies to Manage Food Cravings and Eat Healthier

 

The Drexel University Behavioral Weight Loss Program is conducting a research study examining coping strategies to manage food cravings and eat healthier.

 

To be eligible you must be a female adult between the ages of 18 and 60 and be approximately 30 pounds or more above the weight which would be medically desirable for you.

 

As part of the study, you will be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 groups. In 2 of the groups, you will be asked to participate in a 2 hour workshop on coping with food cravings. In all groups, you will be asked to complete questionnaires and participate in a brief taste test, which together will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

 

You will be able to earn $30 dollars for completing the study.
