On April 30, 2013, Drexel University’s College of Arts and Sciences will welcome Arianna Huffington as the third lecturer in the College’s annual Distinguished Lecture Series. Huffington will join neuroscientist David Eagleman and acclaimed author Sir Salman Rushdie on the growing list of accomplished CoAS distinguished lecturers.

Arianna Huffington is the president and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group and a nationally syndicated columnist. In May 2005, Huffington launched The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that is now one of the most widely read, linked to, and frequently cited media brands on the Internet. In 2006 and 2011, Huffington was named to the TIME 100, TIME Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people.

Arianna Huffington is also the author of 13 books, including Fanatics and Fools: The Game Plan for Winning Back America, On Becoming Fearless...in Love, Work and Life, Right Is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe, and most recently, Third World America: How Our Politicians Are Abandoning the Middle Class and Betraying the American Dream. The 3rd Annual Distinguished Lecture is free and open to the Drexel community and will take place at 6 p.m. in the Main Auditorium.
