Dr. Adina Cimet
is a staff member at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, where she directs a curricular development project to present the history and culture of Eastern European Jews to secondary students. Born in Mexico City, she received a Licenciatura in Sociology from UNAM, Mexico and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Among her publications is Ashkenazi Jews in Mexico: Ideologies in the Structuring of a Community (1997). In addition, she has published many articles in academic journals on subjects such as minority culture, language, and majority/minority relations. |

Dr. D. Walter Cohen
earned his DDS from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He returned later to teach and in his 35-year career there established the School's Department of Periodontics, served as its first chairman, rising to the rank of Dean for Academic Affairs. Later he became President of the Medical College of Pennsylvania, then Chancellor of MCP, and is now Chancellor Emeritus of Drexel University College of Medicine. He has authored 22 books and more than 100 articles on dentistry. He serves on the boards of numerous organizations and continues to teach. |

Mrs. Susan B. Daroff, '70
was a founder of Congregation Or Shalom in Berwyn, PA, and currently chairs the synagogue’s college outreach program. She is a past president of the Drexel Alumni Club of Chester and Delaware Counties. Currently she serves on the By-Laws and Policy Committee of the Drexel University Board of Governors. Mrs. Daroff studied Design and Merchandising at Drexel University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. |

Ms. Lisa Eizen
was the Director of the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame of the Adolph and Rose Levis Museum, Philadelphia, and is a Director on the Board of Hillel of Greater Philadelphia. She is the mother of a Drexel alumnus. |

Rabbi Aaron Landes
received his BA Summa Cum Laude from Yeshiva College, his Rabbinical and Masters degrees from Jewish Theological Seminary, and honorary doctorates from Jewish Theological Seminary, Muhlenberg College, and Gratz College. Rabbi Landes came to Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park in 1964 where he served as Senior Rabbi until 2000, and continues to serve as Rabbi Emeritus there. A Rear Admiral (Ret.) in the Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy, Rabbi Landes served as Director of 700 Naval Reserve Chaplains in the United States and overseas. He serves on the boards of numerous organizations. |

Mr. Henri C. Levit, '68
is the Chief Operating Officer of Simon Miller Sales Company, one of the oldest privately held paper distributors in the United States. Active in business, community, and Jewish organizations, he is president of the Mid Atlantic Region Friends of Boys Town Jerusalem and a member of the National Board of Boys Town Jerusalem. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors of Drexel University, chairman of the Alumni Scholarship Committee, a Drexel Ambassador, and member of the Drexel University Engineering Advisory Council. Mr. Levit earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering at Drexel University. |

Mr. Bennett Nathanson
is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute with Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Mr. Nathanson's entire professional career of 44 years was within the thermoplastics raw materials and fabricating industries. He was Chairman of The Society of Plastics Industry statistics program and was active in the Society during his career. He is a supporter of the Technion Israel Institute of Technology and of Drexel through the Louis and Bessie Stein Foundation. |

Mr. Larry Newman
an authority on wills and estates, practices law with Friedman and Kaplan in New York City, and is the Everett B. Birch Adjunct Professor in Wills and Estate Planning at Columbia Law School. Mr. Newman is a graduate of Dartmouth College, Yale Law School, New York Law School, and obtained an M.S. in Jewish History from Yeshiva University in 1990. |

Mr. George M. Ross, '55
has been Senior Director at Goldman Sachs since 1999, having worked with the company since 1959, starting as a sales associate and moving through the roles of General Partner, Resident Partner, and Limited Partner. He is a member of the boards of many organizations including the American Jewish Committee, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and the National Museum of American Jewish History. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in 1955, and an honorary doctorate in 1999. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Drexel University, and is a former Chairman of the Board. |

Mrs. Harriet Soffa
has a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University in Music Education. She has worked as a teacher in the Philadelphia School System, and as a choir director for Temple Bnai Aaron. She is a member of the Jewish Publication Society Council, Ben Gurion University Board of Governors, and the American Associates of Ben Gurion University. |
