Research Interests: Qualitative and quantitative research on environmental justice, contaminated communities, environmental lawsuits [delete, and replace with:  environmental and social inequality, environmental health, health disparities, political ecology.

Current or Pending Research Grants/Projects:

1.  Study of racial and economic inequality in  proximity to the most hazardous facilities.   
     Data Source:  RSEI (U.S.  EPA).  Location:  greater Philadelphia,  PA and NJ; greater Phoenix, AZ 
2.  Historical case study tracing development of  environmental injustice in a copper smelter town.  
Location:  Hayden, AZ. 3.  Case study of environmental justice controversy.   Location:  Phoenix, AZ. 4.  History of Environmental Justice activism in greater Philadelphia. Future Projects: 1.   Industrial history of greater Philadelphia. 2.   RSEI study including four U.S. cities and their surrounding suburban counties.
