Background: Ph.D. - University of California , Los Angles
Specializing in physiological ecology and population ecology of terrestrial vertebrates. Has been with Drexel University for approximately 2 years. Co-advised and served on the committees of ten M.S. or Ph.D. Environmental Science students since arriving at Drexel. Previously was a supervisory wildlife biologist with the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Research Interests: Population studies of Threatened and Endangered species (currently desert tortoise, leatherback sea turtle, timber rattlesnake, pine snake), nutritional ecology of herbivorous and omnivorous reptiles, Ecology and biodiversity of vertebrates and vegetation of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

Earthwatch Institute Grant: Life History and Demography of the Desert Tortoise in California ($65K);
 
Conservation International: Population studies of the olive ridley sea turtle in Costa Rica ($350K) (pending)
