Dr. Nielson has articles in Renaissance Quarterly, Explicator, Indiana English, Writing Centered, and Study Guides on Shakespeare for Hedgerow Theatre. He is a Shakespearean Dramaturge at the Hedgerow Theatre.

Dr. Nielson teaches several courses for the Department of English and Philosophy, including Shakespeare and Freshman Writing.
