Andrew McCann has a BSEE from Drexel University and worked for General Electric for five years before trading in his briefcase for a backpack. He is the Founder and Vice President of Service and Subjective Metrics, Inc., an ASP assessment software provider. In the summer of 1996 he toured Great Britain, walked the Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango before returning to graduate school to study English and Creative Writing. He graduated with that degree from Temple University in 1998. His story, Zenith, was chosen by Carol Shields to appear in Scribner's Best of the Fiction Workshops 1998. In 1999 he was a scholarship recipient at the Breadloaf Writer's Conference. He is working on a novel.

Professor McCann teaches in the Freshman Sequence and also teaches fiction workshops throught the Pennoni Honors College.
