Dr. Manion is the author of Minding the Machines: Preventing Technological Disasters. He has articles in scholarly journals such as Computers and Society, Teaching Philosophy, International Journal of Technology Management, and Information Ethics Education. He is a consultant to major corporations on issues of Crisis Management, Corporate Codes of Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility. He was the recipient of the Allan Rothwarf Teaching Excellence Award.

Dr. Manion teaches several courses in the Department of English and Philosophy, including Engineering Ethics, Computer Ethics, Business Ethics, Organizational Ethics, and Philosophy of Technology.
