A Message from Dean Donna Murasko, Ph.D.

As the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CoAS), I want to welcome you personally to our Web Site and to encourage you to explore the Site to gain an understanding of why I am so proud of our programs, faculty and students. The mission of our college is to offer the best possible education in order to prepare students for complete living. I have worked very hard to ensure that each of our academic programs prepares our graduates for both a rewarding career and for a life made richer by what they have learned in and outside of the classroom while members of our College.

As you explore the Site be sure to "click on" many, if not all, of our academic program areas, even if you don't think that they are for you. You may be surprised by the Drexel Difference--a difference which requires students to combine intellectually challenging classroom work with community service while at the same time acquiring practical hands-on skills through co-operative education experiences. Is this combination right for you? You will only be able to answer this question if you explore our College's various academic programs which include majors in the humanities, social sciences, sciences, mathematics, computer science and teacher education.

If you think that Drexel and the CoAS may be the place for you, why not consider a trip to our campus to tour our facilities, speak to faculty members, attend a class, meet with the College's academic counselors and/or interact with our students who have interests similar to yours? One or more of these activities can be arranged by contacting Drexel's Undergraduate Admissions Office (215.895.2400), Graduate Admissions Office (215.895.6700), or by calling the College directly (215-895-2620).

In the meantime, be sure to check this Site periodically--why not Bookmark it for easy access-- for updates about the College, our various academic programs and special activities which may be of particular interest to you.

Remember, since you only attend College once, you cannot get enough information about any University you may consider.
