NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE PERMITTED DURING EXAMINATIONS.

 

Assignments are to be read prior to class discussion.

Active participation by everyone in class discussions is important.

 

Two required class trips and trip reports are not negotiable. Dates will be announced in class well in advance of these trips to permit scheduling adjustments where necessary. You are required to attend on the date you select as this list will be forwarded to the PA Department of Corrections for gate passes. (Failure to attend class trips and submit reports will result in an Incomplete grade.

NO HANDWRITTEN WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR GRADING.

Guest speakers and audiovisual presentations are an integral part of the course so your attendance is important. You are responsible for the content.

 UNEXCUSED ABSENCES WILL REDUCE YOUR GRADE

 Late work and make-up quizzes will be dropped one letter grade per week. Plagiarized work or products of academic dishonesty will result in a zero.

 

EXTRA CREDIT WORK IS OPTIONAL AND MUST BE SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE NOVEMBER 20th.2006

I will grade quizzes and other work as fairly and objectively as possible using the grading formula on this syllabus.
