Professor Robert 'Bob' Hutchins Retirement Symposium & Dinner

On January 2, 2008, Professor Robert O. Hutchins retired after 40 years of excellence in teaching and mentoring at Drexel University. In celebration of his accomplishments, a Symposium and Dinner was held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in the Bossone Research Enterprise Center at Drexel University, 32nd & Market Streets (click here for directions)

Honor Professor Bob Hutchins Forever
    An important goal for gathering the students, peers and friends of Professor Bob Hutchins is to recognize and honor his lifetime commitment to his students and their research by endowing a fund in his name. It is the hope of Dinner Co-Chairs, Cyndie Maryanoff and Ira Taffer that two funds are endowed to honor Professor Bob Hutchins in perpetuity for generations of future Chemistry students at Drexel University. The first goal is to endow $250,000 to create an annual lecture to recruit the very best high school students to attend Drexel Chemistry. The second goal of $250,000 is to name an Organic Chemistry Laboratory in the new Integrated Sciences Building at 33rd and Chestnut Streets, groundbreaking to occur in December 2008.
