  Research Focus

I am interested in the area of food microbiology. Current research is focusing on the microbiological quality and safety of produce, dairy and meat products in markets in high socioeconomic areas as compared to the same food products in markets found in low socioeconomic areas. I have also worked with Bacillus and Clostridium spores in foods and am interested in research with these spores and their use to validate new and emerging technologies in food processing
