  Research Focus

The focus of my research is the physiological ecology of terrestrial ectotherms, particularly amphibians and reptiles. I am particularly interested in how abiotic factors, such as temperature and water can affect the physiology, limit the activity, constrain the resource accumulation, and hence delimit the ecology of organisms. In many cases, I focus on how heat and water exchanges with the environment affect body temperatures and water stores , and when these abiotic affects can either allow or prevent the activity of the animals.
