Post-Professional Graduate Program: Admission Requirements

For PhD students, a limited number of Graduate Assistant positions are available within the Department of Rehabilitation. Graduate Assistant positions provide tuition remission and a stipend.

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited degree program. An evaluation of the applicant's ability to do graduate work is based on previous academic performance as revealed by college transcripts which should show a minimum overall GPA of 3.0; a curriculum vitae highlighting continued professional development and involvement; three letters of recommendation; and a personal essay in which the student discusses his or her professional goals related to obtaining the post-professional DPT degree. Graduate Record Examination scores are not required for admission.

The post-professional DPT program retains the right to offer contingent admission status for applicants who may not meet the minimum GPA or who have limited continued professional development. In these cases, admission into the program is contingent on successful completion of the first two academic courses in the program.
