Post-Professional
Graduate Program: About the Program
The
Post-Professional Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences is
designed to prepare physical therapists and other professionals
for leadership roles in practice, education and research. The Post-Professional
Graduate Program is based on the perspective that adult learning
formats, student interaction, and faculty mentorship promote the
development of competencies in scholarship, research and education.
Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and
application of course content in ways that are consistent with how
information is used in practice, education, and research. Students
are encouraged to share and expand on their professional experiences
and skills as part of the learning process.
The
following certificates and degrees are offered:
Certificate
in Advanced Practice in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation
(for physical therapists and occupational therapists)
Post-Professional
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) (for U.S. licensed
physical therapists)
Doctor
of Philsophy (PhD) (with concentration areas in: Pediatrics,
Movement Science and Orthopedics)
