Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences: Testimonials of the Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) Program
Throughout
the program we have received positive feedback from the participants:
“Attending the PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at Drexel University allowed me to successfully navigate faculty tenure in a graduate physical therapy program. Drexel’s program provided me with the education and training required to teach at a graduate level, produce publishable research, and to practice as a clinician at a pediatric clinical specialist level. Service through research, community projects, and training future physical therapists was also an important focus of the program. In addition, the collegiate relationships I developed continue to assist me in making contacts and participating with other faculty and researchers who have similar research and teaching focus. The faculty instilled a sense of pride and excellence during my education at Drexel which drove me to be successful during and following completion of this program.” - Marybeth Grant Beuttler, PT, PhD, PCS

“The PhD program in Rehabilitation Sciences at Drexel University provided me with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to work in many capacities as a clinician, faculty member, and researcher. The program emphasized the importance of performing high quality work and the dissemination of that work through publications and presentations. In addition, the program instilled the importance of giving back to the community through mentoring and committee participation. The relationships begun during my doctoral studies have provided me with a strong base of collegial support and professional friendships.” - Victoria Marchese
