in Advanced Practice in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation: Admission
Requirements
Applicants must
be graduates of an accredited degree program in occupational or
physical therapy education and hold a current license to practice
from the United States or Canada. An evaluation of the applicant’s
ability to do graduate work is based on previous academic performance
as revealed by college transcripts which should show a minimum overall
GPA of 3.0; a resume highlighting continued professional development;
two letters of recommendation; and a personal essay in which the
student discusses his or her professional goals related to obtaining
the post-professional certificate in hand rehabilitation. Graduate
Record Examination scores are not required for admission. Two years
of clinical experience are recommended but not required. No previous
experience in hand therapy is required.
