MSN Post-Master’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
The MSN Post Master's Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) certificate program at Drexel University is designed to provide additional formal education and clinical training for the individual with an MSN degree who desires to practice as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. This certificate program will enable an individual to meet the edibility standards for certification and advanced practice licensure as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. The program can generally be completed in one year of part-time study. Transcripts will be reviewed and course work will be determined on an individual basis. Course work completed more than ten years ago will not be accepted for the following courses: Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Advanced Physical Assessment.
Please note: Nurse practitioners practicing in the state of Pennsylvania, who do not have prescriptive authority, will need to take both the Advanced Pharmacology course and the Track Specific Advanced Pharmacology courses.
