MSN Programs

Our programs are designed with the choice and flexibility to complement and augment your personal
and professional lives. Our quality programs include both traditional, in-class programs, and online programs to ensure that you will learn and enjoy the education experience.


Masters Programs:
The MSN Clinical Nurse Leader in Adult Health (On Campus Program) track is designed to prepare nurses for an evolving advanced generalist role which incorporates advanced knowledge and skill, clinical expertise in an evidence-and-quality-driven context,  accountability for outcomes of  care, integration of health care services, and clinical leadership for the care of clients, who may be individuals or clinical populations such as those found on a clinical unit or in other settings.  The program emphasizes the development of competencies related to the use of technology, evidence-based practice,  customization of care,  health team and interdisciplinary leadership, and outcome and risk assessment.

The MSN in Clinical Trials Research (Online Program) program is designed for nurses who wish to be involved in clinical trials and research in a variety of settings. It provides knowledge and skills in several critical areas, including: applying FDA rules and regulations; phases of clinical research investigation; new drug approval processes; drug protocol development; budgeting for clinical trials and more.

The MSN in Contemporary Nursing Faculty/Nursing Education and Faculty Role (Online Program) program specifically prepares nurses to work as nursing educators, nursing faculty, or nursing professors in all types of nursing programs. The program integrates theories specific to adult learning, curriculum design and evaluation of courses and programs, critical thinking, both clinical and classroom techniques, and the preparation for the role of the nursing professor.

The MSN in Innovation & Intra/Entrepreneurship for Advanced Practice Nursing (Online Program) program is designed for the graduate nursing student who seeks to re-invent and innovate in nursing practice in a variety of roles, as clinician, educator, administrator, clinical scientist or in the business environment of healthcare. Emphasis is placed on entrepreneurial and intra-preneurial approaches to advanced nursing practice.

The MSN in Nursing Leadership in Health Systems Management (Online Program) program prepares nurses for senior roles in a fast-changing, increasingly demanding health care environment. Students have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to become nursing managers and leaders.

The (Nurse Practitioner) MSN Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Online Program) program is designed to prepare Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioners for professional practice in high-acuity medical, surgical, and critical care patient settings. The program provides the knowledge and skills needed for the management of adult complex acute, critical, and chronic health care conditions.  Emphasis is placed upon diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision making.

The (Nurse Practitioner) MSN Family Nurse Practitioner (On Campus Program) program focuses on the application of advanced-practice nursing knowledge—including physical, psychosocial, and environmental assessment skills—to manage common health and illness problems of clients of all ages. It emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention using a family systems approach.

The (Nurse Practitioner) MSN Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (On Campus Program) program is directed toward preparing pediatric nurse practitioners who will take advanced nursing roles as clinicians, educators, researchers, and leaders in the rapidly changing evidence-driven health care environment. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration and critical use of evolving technology in the care of children and their families.

The (Nurse Practitioner) MSN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (On-line Program) track prepares an advanced practice nurse specializing in psychiatric-mental health care. The PMHNP program offers advanced knowledge and clinical skills in psychiatric-mental health care to provide a wide range
of services individuals and their families who are at risk and those who require mental health services.

The (Nurse Practitioner) MSN Women’s Health Care Completion Program for Nurse Practitioners (Online Program) program allows certificate-prepared Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioners to complete the MSN degree while continuing to live and practice in their home communities.

The (Nurse Practitioner) MSN Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (Online Program) is designed to prepare nurse practitioners with the skills and competencies needed to provide care to women throughout the female lifespan, with an emphasis on reproductive and gynecologic health needs.  The program is designed to include competencies and skill sets required for today’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner as knowledge expands, health care systems evolve, technology advances, and practice changes in response to current needs and evidence based research.

The RN-MSN Bridge Program (Online Program) is offered to RN’s who have a BA/BS Degree in a field other than nursing and wish to pursue their MSN degree. Three BSN level courses must be completed in the “bridge” to the MSN program.

 The MSN in Nurse Anesthesia is a 27-month, full-time program that prepares students for entry into nurse anesthesia practice. On completing the program, graduates are eligible to take the National Certification Examination offered by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
