Nursing: RN-MSN Bridge Program

This program is offered to RN’s who have a BA/BS Degree in a field other than nursing and wish to pursue the MSN degree.

The “bridge” consists of three undergraduate courses.  Classes are online and are delivered in 10-week, quarter term sessions. A once-weekly clinical experience is required in NURS 375.  At least one, and often several bridge courses are offered in any given term. Most bridge courses include mandatory virtual class meetings.

Students apply to the MSN track of choice.  Acceptance is provisional, pending successful completion of the bridge courses. Tuition for the bridge program is charged at the graduate rate. Students have one year after matriculating to complete the courses.

MSN Bridge Courses:
  • NURS 325: Critical Issues Shaping Professional Nursing - 3 quarter credits

  • NURS 337: Genetics in Nursing and Health-3 quarter credits
    OR NURS 370:

  • NURS 375: Nurses Building a Healthy Community: Theory & Practice - 6 quarter credits (theory and 60 hrs of clinical time)

The decision is made by the graduate program.  The course syllabus must be submitted for review.
