An individual plan of study including required coop experiences will be developed for transfer students accepted into the BSN program.

Outstanding new transfer students may be eligible for the BSN/MSN Dual Degree Option.

Internal Transfer Policy for Current Drexel Students Requesting Admission to the BSN Coop Program

Students who wish to transfer from other Colleges/Schools  at Drexel University  into the BSN Co-op Program must meet the following criteria:

1. Completion of 2 quarters or 2 semesters at Drexel with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

2. Achievement of a C or better in science courses that will be transferred toward the Bachelors of Science in nursing degree.

If a co-op has been completed, the site and objectives will be evaluated to determine if it meets the requirements of the BSN Coop nursing curriculum.

Students who were not born in the US must meet the current TOEFL iBT score requirements of the BSN Co-op program.

Readmission to the BSN Coop Program

The BSN Coop academic policies supplement and, in some cases, may be more restrictive than Drexel University policy.  All students should familiarize themselves with both BSN Coop Policies and university policies found at

http://www.drexel.edu/provost/policies

To apply for readmission to the BSN Coop Program, the student should complete an application for readmission, found at http://www.drexel.edu/src/forms/Readmission.pdf

In addition to the application for readmission, the student should submit a letter outlining the steps taken to address academic or other issues related to his or her dismissal from the nursing program.  Courses taken, tutoring received, work experience, or other activities may be described in the letter of appeal.  Official transcripts of any coursework taken at other institutions must also be submitted.

The letter, application for readmission, and transcripts if applicable, should be submitted to the BSN Coop Program Director.  The student’s documents and academic record will be reviewed by the BSN Admissions Committee and a recommendation for readmission or non-admission will be made by the committee on an individual basis. Students with GPA’s below the university standard for good academic standing, those dismissed for breaches of the university or nursing program policies on academic integrity, student conduct, or  safe nursing practice will not be eligible for readmission to the BSN Coop Program.
