Jo Ann Runewicz, RNC,MSN,Ed.D joined Drexel University, College of Nursing and Health Professions as Adjunct Clinical Faculty eight years ago and is now a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor in the Undergraduate Nursing program.  She has been teaching and practicing in the specialty of Geriatrics, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Orthopedics, and Community Health for over 33 years. She has experience in both the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels of academia, including nursing, health services administration, education, and business administration. 

Dr Runewicz holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degree with a specialization in geriatrics from Gwynedd-Mercy College. She has a Post-Master certificate in Nursing Education from Weidener University and a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University with a concentration in curriculum, instruction, and technology.  As a curriculum design expert, she developed a Licensed Practical Nurse program and held the positions of Acting Assistant Dean and Associate Campus Dean. 

Her areas of research interest are: Geriatrics and the impact of martial arts on the Autistic child.
