Jan Meiers, PT, DPT, GCS, CEEAA has been a physical therapist since 1990. She is board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist and as a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults by the Geriatrics Section of the APTA. Clinical experience has been in various settings, with an emphasis on geriatrics and home health. Dr. Meiers currently maintains a clinical practice in acute care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is interested in health and wellness in the geriatric population. Research interests include evaluation and treatment of older adults at risk for falls, and physical performance measures in individuals with osteopenia or osteoporosis. Teaching areas include Life Span II, Clinical Correlations I and II, and Pathophysiology I and II. In addition to teaching responsibilities, Dr. Meiers is Assistant Director of Clinical Education.
