Cheryl McLaughlin joins Drexel University serving as a Assistant Clinical Professor for the College of Nursing and Health Professions. She has been an adjunct professor for the CNHP since 2003. Professor McLaughlin's areas of interest are community health, health promotion and women's wellness. She also has special training in emergency preparedness through the State of New Jersey and the Burlington County Office of Emergency Management.

Professor McLaughlin has been involved in academia since 1982 and has also worked in a variety of specialty areas such as post-anesthesia care, critical care and maternal-child health. She was an educator and program planner for an outpatient woman's center where she established several support groups and holistic health programs. She has been teaching in the online environment since 2002.

Through her devotion to community wellness, in 1999 she established Camden County Woman Newspaper, an educational and informational publication for women in Southern New Jersey. She is CEO and publisher of the bimonthly publication which has a health and wellness focus.

She received her Baccalaureate Degree from Trenton State College and her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
