Dr. MacFadyen has more than 27 years of experience teaching nursing in the classroom and clinical setting. For the last 18 years, she has been actively involved in gerontological nursing, with experience as a charge nurse in skilled nursing facilities, adjunct faculty member for Drexel University, and Board member and President of the Eastern Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society in 2004. Previously, Dr. MacFadyen worked for the E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Company in Wilmington, DE, where she spent 13 years in new business development, mostly with health care related businesses. She is an entrepreneur, starting her own business teaching older adults how to use computers in 1996. Currently she is the Track Director for Innovation and Intra/Entrepreneurial Advanced Practice Nursing and writes a column on innovation for Holistic Nursing Practice.
Dr. MacFadyen is a Trustee of Cairn University, Langhorne, PA and is a member of their Academic Standards Committee.
