Professor Kitty Hasson RN, MSN is an Assistant Clinical Professor Drexel University she teaches community health, genetics, nursing leadership and nursing principles. She received a BA from Niagara University a BSN from Temple University and an MSN from Villanova University (pediatric concentration). She has diverse clinical experience in MS/ICU, community health and as pediatric neurosurgical nurse clinician (research ten year retrospective study of children with craniosynostois repair).
Professor Hasson developed and instituted an on-line faculty resource center which provides communication and learning needs for full time and adjunct faculty. She has published and presented internationally on the development of this resource center. She chairs the student conduct committee managing the deliberation and recommendation process for student conduct issues. She currently is in the discernment process to become a Mercy Associate and is a Parish Nurse.
Research interests are examining and supporting the enculturation process into the nursing profession for second degree students in accelerated nursing education programs, what motivates students to become nurses and the development of genetics into nursing practice.
