Dr. Fedorczyk has been practicing in hand therapy for over 25 years and is the primary instructor for the Advanced Practice Certificate in Hand and Upper Quarter Rehabilitation and hand concentrations in the MHS and PPDPT programs. She became a certified hand therapist (CHT) in 1992 and a certified athletic trainer (ATC) in 1985. She maintains a clinical practice in the Drexel PT faculty practice.
Dr. Fedorczyk's research is in the area of UE musculoskeletal disorders including tendinopathies and nerve compression syndromes.
Dr. Fedorczyk has received grants from American Association Hand Surgery and American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) and has been the recipient of the “Best Scientific Paper” and the Petzoldt Award from ASHT.
Currently, Dr. Fedorczyk serves on the board of directors for the Hand Rehabilitation Foundation, American Hand Therapy Foundation, and ASHT. She is a manuscript reviewer for several journals. She has published in the 4th and 5th editions of Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity and is serving as a co-editor for the 6th edition. She has also published in the Journal of Hand Therapy, Journal of Orthopedic Research, and textbooks in the areas of pain modulation, tennis elbow, and clinical examination of the hand.
