Jose E. Barcega is the Director of Critical Analysis of the Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. He has previously directed the Director of Clinical Education , Clinical Laboratory Practicum Course as well as the Ethical Issues in Physician Assistant Practice Course. Mr. Barcega has been with the Physician Assistant Program since 1997. He is a member of the College of Nursing and Health Professions Master Teachers’ Guild.
Mr. Barcega has presented workshops and poster presentations at both the University and National levels. Additionally he has authored a chapter in the revised edition of the Physician Assistant Review book by Auth and Kerstein. Recently, he has co-authored and article on preparing PA students for long-term care exposure published by The journal of Physician Assistant Education. Clinically, Pepe practiced in an inner city clinic in Pediatrics and family practice.

Mr. Barcega received the College of Nursing and Health Professions Teaching Excellence Award and is a member of the Physician Assistant National Honor Society, Pi Alpha, and the Alpha Eta Honor Society.
