Jan Meiers, PT, DPT, GCS has been a physical therapist since 1990. She has worked in multiple aspects of physical therapy clinical education and is credentialed as a Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She is also has been certified by the APTA as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist.
Clinical experience has been in home health and acute care, with an emphasis on geriatrics. She currently maintains a clinical practice in acute care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is interested in wellness in the geriatric population.
Dr. Meiers shares teaching responsibilities in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Pathways to Health Program. Teaching areas include Informatics, University Experience, Clinical Geriatrics, Clinical Correlations, Functional Mobility and Clinical Teaching.
