Dr. McHugh has taught in ASN, BSN, and MSN programs since 1972. She had been active in an administrative role from 1986 until 2000. Since that time she has taught as adjunct faculty and acted as a consultant for various accreditation endeavors. She belongs to NLN, ANA, STT and served as Program Evaluator, Review Panel Member, and member of the NLNAC Commission from 1997-2002. Her research interests address educational issues and processes.
