I graduated with a BSN from Thomas Jefferson University in 1980. After working in Medical/Surgical Nursing for 3 years, I entered the field of Oncology as an infusion/research nurse. Upon leaving that position I worked as a Research Nurse Coordinator in Radiation Oncology for 6 years. I began graduate school and received my MSN in 1994. During that period of time I worked in Nursing Administration eventually becoming an Assistant Vice President for Patient Care Services. After several years of working in this field, I returned to Oncology Clinical Research Nursing. In 1996, I received my Advanced Certification in Oncology Nursing and shortly thereafter, my certification in Clinical Research. I worked in that capacity until starting at Drexel College of Nursing and Health Professions in August 1996.

I am very active in the Oncology Nursing Society and am currently the Coordinator for the Clinical Trial Nurses Special Interest Group, the liaison between the ONS and the Clinical Trials Summit and am a peer reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Oncology Nursing. I have authored a number of newsletter articles and have written two chapters for a manual in Clinical Trials Nursing (in press).
