Vicki D. Lachman, PhD, APRN, MBE is a Clinical Associate Professor in the masters and doctoral programs in nursing. After completing her undergraduate and graduate work in nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, she obtained a doctoral degree in education from Temple University. The focus of her program was on organizational development and since then she has consulted with over 400 health care organizations and has given over 3000 presentations at various conferences. In 2002, she completed a Masters in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on the ethical issues at end-of-life. She is a certified ELNEC and EPEC trainer in the care of patients at the end-of-life curriculum for nurses and for physicians. This background paved the way for her to be the expert in ethics curriculum for all levels of nursing. Dr. Lachman serves on three ethics committees. She is the content expert for masters and doctoral core courses in ethics.

Dr. Lachman is also the track coordinator for MSN in Innovation and Intra/Entrepreneurship in Advanced Nursing  Practice. Having run her own consulting company for over 30 years, she is very qualified to help individuals plan their own innovative business projects. Dr. Lachman has authored over 100 publications and her second book, Applied Ethics in Nursing, was released at the end of 2005. She has appeared on TV, radio and satellite conferences discussing a variety of health care topics.
