Kathleen Falkenstein PhD, CPNP (20%) Dr Falkenstein is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University. Dr Falkenstein is a pediatric nurse practitioner (20 years) who currently practices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is a Co PI on a R21 Interventions for parents of overweight children 6- 13 years in primary care which will be completed July 2008. Dr Falkenstein is member of an interdisciplinary team using a Cognitive behavioral approach with families and children diagnosed with failure to thrive. This is funded by a private foundation grant (Claneil) for 1 million dollars over three years and involves Drexel School of Public Health and Saint Christopher’s Hospital Her expertise i s pediatric primary care and children with chronic illness. she has numerous publications in this field
