Professor Linda Dayer-Berenson is a doctoral candidate at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Health Related Professions in Stratford, NJ. She was honored with the 2007 Nurse Practitioner Award of Excellence for the State of New Jersey from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prof. Dayer-Berenson's MSN was in critical care nursing (CNS) and her post Master's certificate prepared her as an adult NP. Her research interest is cultural competence and pain management. She is certified as an Adult NP by ANCC. She is licensed as a CRNP and as an RN in the State of PA. In addition, she holds licensure in New Jersey as an RN and is certified as an adult NP and as a medical-surgical clinical nurse specialist. She has published and presented on cultural competence, pain management, polypharmacy and other nursing topics. She will be teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs at CNHP and serves as the Standardized Patient Laboratory Faculty Coordinator for the nursing programs.
