Jose E. Barcega, MHS, BS, PA-C, is the Director of Clinical Education of the Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. He has previously directed the Clinical Laboratory Practicum Course as well as the Ethical Issues in Physician Assistant Practice Course.

Mr. Barcega has been with the Physician Assistant Program since 1997. Mr. Barcega graduated from Hahnemann University in 1996 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. In December, 2004, he completed his Master of Health Sciences Degree at Drexel University’s Advanced Physician Assistant Program. Mr. Barcega maintains professional affiliations with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Association of Physician Assistant Programs, and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Mr. Barcega has presented workshops and poster presentations at local, state and national levels. Additionally he has authored a chapter in the revised edition of the Physician Assistant Review book by Auth and Kerstein.

Clinically, Pepe practiced in an inner city clinic in Pediatrics and family practice.
