Diane Price, Drexel DrNP Student Wins NY Society of Aging Doctoral Student Writing Award
Diane Price, RN, MS, ANP, BC, now a 2nd year Drexel DrNP student, has won the NY State Society on Aging’s Graduate Student Best Paper Award – Doctoral Level - for her paper on ‘Protein Calorie Malnutrition’ written for Dr. Linda Wilson’s NURS 710 Class: Human Responses to Altered Physiologic Function in Health and Illness. Diane Price is from Barneveld, NY (upstate NY) and is in the Clinical Scientist Track. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse and is Board Certified by the ANCC in Advanced Practice Palliative Care Management and as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. In only her first year of doctoral study Diane submitted 7 clinical abstracts and had 3 accepted (the results of two abstracts are pending), including an oral presentation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, on Nutrition and Hydration Issues at the End of Life. For Diane’s outstanding clinical scholarship in her first year of doctoral study she was awarded the ‘Outstanding First Year Drexel DrNP Clinical Nursing Scholar’ prize at the June 27, 2006 Summer Residency Doctoral Nursing Student/Faculty Dinner at the restaurant Patou in Philadelphia.
